A phone is useful for capturing a recommendation quickly; a larger screen makes comparing several casts or editions easier. The catalog keeps movies, series and saved lists available through responsive navigation. On narrow screens, use the menu button and the bottom shortcuts rather than expecting every desktop link to fit in one row.
Watch where the service is supported
Smart TV and console browsers vary considerably. If the selected viewing service has a supported app for your device, that can be more practical than operating its website with a remote. A catalog page loading successfully does not prove that an external video player is supported by the same browser.
Casting is a separate capability
